To see one of these pythons in the wild has always been a dream of mine, so I was pretty chuffed to find this one literally five metres
from where I pitched my tent. It is hanging head down over the scent of a native rodent. It was gone the next morning, and I spent
half an hour looking for it before giving up, but it was back in exactly the same spot the following night. During the day they are
clearly masters of camouflage.
