Ornate Burrowing Frog, Platyplectrum ornatum

Ashford area NSW

A widespread species commonly found in sandy soils, Ornate Burrowing frogs usually have striped legs which distinguish them from
the similar-looking Trilling Frogs, Neobatrachus sudelli. Ornate Burrowing frogs breed in flooded areas, where the males call whilst
floating in the water, putting tremendous effort into the "Unk" call.
