Dasyurids- Carnivorous marsupials

Australia has lost its biggest carnivorous marsupials- firstly the Marsupial Lion, Thylacoleao carnifex, then following the arrival
of Europeans, the Thylacine, Thylacinus cyanocephalus. Many species still face serious threats from habitat destruction,
feral animals and climate change.
