From what I can gather campdrafting is "drafting" (separating) a young cow/bull from a mob (a group of cattle) in a yard (a camp), then steering it (no pun intended I'm sure, these horsey types are a serious breed) around a course within a certain amount of time. Successful campdrafting depends on great horsemanship, a knowledge of adolescent bovine psychology and a little luck.
This is a record of my first campdraft, my first attempts at "action" photography, and my first use of my telephoto lens for objects larger than a wombat.
