Une charmante cité médiévale où le château fortifié, avec ses remparts de pierre, est presque intact. Mentionnée pour la première fois dans un document du IXe siècle sous le nom de Casale Mustia, elle apparaît ensuite dans les archives de Sienne en 1213 sous le nom de Castel Mozzo. Après le XIIIe siècle, elle devient Castelmuzio. Cependant, les habitants l'appellent simplement par son surnom, Castello (château). ~VVVVV~
A charming medieval town where the fortified castle with stone walls are almost intact. This town was first mentioned in the 9th century document under the name of Casale Mustia. Then in the archives of Siena in 1213 it's under the name of Castel Mozzo. After the 13th century it became Castelmuzio. However, the local residents simply call it by its nickname Castello (castle).
