Le roi Frédéric-Guillaume IV de Prusse était passionné par les beaux-arts et nourrissait une profonde nostalgie pour le Moyen Âge. C'est probablement pour cette raison qu'il chargea Friedrich August Stüler, architecte berlinois de renom, de faire revivre la vision d'un château de chevalier médiéval. Cette passion transparaît dans les moindres détails, tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur du château. ~VVVVV~

King Frederick William IV of Prussia had a passion for the fine arts and a poetically sentimental attachment to the Middle Ages. He commissioned Friedrich August Stüler, a top architect in Berlin at the time probably for that reason, to bring back the vision of a medieval knight's castle to life. This passion is reflected in the details from the exterior to the interior of the castle. ~VVVVV~
