Des épées sont exposées dans plusieurs salles du château, dont certaines datent du Moyen Âge jusqu'au XXe siècle. La collection a été en grande partie constituée à la fin du XIXe siècle sous le règne du roi Frédéric-Guillaume IV de Prusse à des fins décoratives et représentatives, afin d'évoquer une « atmosphère chevaleresque » dans le château néo-gothique nouvellement reconstruit. ~VVVV~
Swords are displayed in more than one room inside the castle, including items from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. The collection was largely assembled in the late 19th century under King Frederick William IV of Prussia for decorative and representative purposes to evoke a "knightly atmosphere" in the newly rebuilt neo-Gothic castle. ~VVVV~
