Quatre tours élancées entourent la base de la flèche octogonale. Ces tourelles, dotées d'escaliers circulaires, soutiennent la flèche principale. Bien que visuellement reliées à la tour principale, elles sont structurellement indépendantes et ne sont pas directement reliées à celle-ci, à l'exception de deux petites passerelles au niveau du petit étage. Le terme allemand « Vier Schnecken » fait référence à leur forme en spirale, évoquant un escargot. ~VVV~

There are four slender towers or turrets that surround the base of the octagonal spire. These turrets contain circular stairways and are positioned to support the main spire. While the turrets are visually connected to the main tower, they are structurally independent and not directly connected to the tower except for two small walkways at the level of the small floor. The German word "Vier Schnecken" is referred to their spiral shape that looks like a snail. ~VVV~

an astonishing scene, both exhilarating and breath-taking...the stairway's name suggests a spiral design, doubtless a daunting climb....brilliant, atmospheric image...V
