Cette tour est un édifice historique majeur situé sur l'île Tatihou. Construite en 1694, elle fait partie d'un ensemble de fortifications conçues par l'ingénieur militaire Vauban. Ces fortifications, dont la tour de Tatihou et son pendant sur le continent, étaient d'une importance stratégique pour la défense de la côte. La tour Vauban et d'autres sites Vauban sont désormais inscrits au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. ~VVV~

The Vauban Tower.
This tower is a significant historical structure located on Tatihou Island. It was built in 1694 and is part of a series of fortifications designed by the military engineer Vauban. These fortifications, including the tower on Tatihou and its counterpart on the mainland, were strategically important for defending the coast. The Vauban Tower and other Vauban sites are now recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ~VVV~
