La verrière en Téflon de la Grande Arche de la Défense a été ajoutée en 1989. Conçue comme un « nuage », elle surplombe le podium à l'intérieur de l'arche et s'intègre à la conception complexe de l'arche pour réduire la résistance au vent et servir également de bouclier aux visiteurs. Une cage en acier monte jusqu'au toit pour soutenir les ascenseurs en verre. ~VVV~
The Teflon canopy inside the Grande Arche de la Défense was added in 1989. The structure, designed to look like a "cloud," hovers above the podium inside the arch and is part of the complex design of the arch to reduce wind resistance, also to serve as a shield for the visitors. There's also a steel cage that goes up to the roof to support the glass lifts. ~VVV~
