Outre l'aspect artistique de cette photo, on peut également se faire une idée de la complexité de la conception technique, notamment du calcul de la dilatation du métal sous l'effet de la chaleur. En été, cette dilatation volumique augmente la hauteur de la tour Eiffel de quelques millimètres. Elle l'incline également légèrement par rapport au soleil. Avec l'arrivée du froid hivernal, la structure métallique se contracte et peut également perdre quelques millimètres. ~VVV~

Besides the artistic feel in this photo, we can also have an idea how complicated the engineering design was, including the calculation of the expansion of metal caused by the heat. In the summer, this expansion in volume makes the Eiffel Tower a few millimeters taller. It also causes the Tower to tilt slightly away from the sun. When cold winter weather arrives, the metal structure contracts and it can lose a few millimeters as well. ~VVV~

My favorite thing about seeing the Eiffel Tower was taking close up shots of it. I loved the beautiful little details like you see here. V
