Ksar Haddada

Ancienne construction qui servait de refuge aux Berbères contre les attaques nomades. On y trouve les ghorfas, greniers qui servaient de réserve pour le grain, mais aussi d’habitations refuges. Ce ksar fut restauré et est maintenant utilisé à des fins touristiques.

South of Tataouine, Ksar Haddada has ghorfas, one floor granaries that stretch out from the main buildings. The round domes of the roofs and the buttresses sustaining the walls are typical of Berber architecture. No longer utilized today, they are a popular tourist attraction
