One of the most enjoyable stops on the trip was here at the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I had the place all to myself, and camped about 150' from the edge. Note: this was National Forest, Not National Park. By some oversight, they were unable to extend the National Park boundary far enough, and therefore were unable to charge me a fee to look at something beautiful, or to impose rules on a wonderful place that belongs to all of humanity, and all life. You can't see it without feeling small.
