Pakistan

Most of the mountainscape images are from Northern Pakistan area, along the KKH. The terrain is rugged and not friendly - much of the slopes are weather eroded and there are very frequent landslides which tend to block highways and communication - sometime I think we're the intruders in God's land. This image shows immense erosion where soil has settled along the river bank and taken that 'alien' landscape shape after rising waters rush thru during the moonsoon seasons. Then just multiply that over thousands of years.

See that string connecting both sides of the river at the lower left quadrant? that's a makeshift trolley cable to get people across both sides.

What an odd, exotic, even alien-looking landscape. You did a great job of capturing the various elements, textures and shapes. Well done. Cliff
