Aah Jaisalmer -- what's to say that isn't captured in a hundred yellow sandstone photos!

Jaisalmer has lost most of its importance since the arrival of ports in India and the demise in land-based trade with the Middle East but none of its shine.

In terms of sights, there isn't much more to see than the fort but it is well worth the extra day-trip from Jodhpur to see it. We also went into the Sam dunes and had great fun rolling around the sands but will hold back on any recommendations because of the rampant disorganized (and dishonest) vendor nuisance around the town.
