Cactus Wren

Arizona Desert Museum

While not a captive bird, this one and others were
quite tame. Note the nest hole in the background.

One of my new faves! This is "the" quintessential "bird in proper habitat" photo. Cactus Wren in a Cactus! Kinda like a Wood Duck nestled snuggly on a Wood Pile, or a Cattle Egret on the broad back of a cow, a Tundra Goose, if you may, deep in the Tundra. Need I go on? I think you get the picture.
