Tom Palumbo is a 13+ year veteran and tireless activist dedicated to engaging Americans in the use of their democratic rights and responsibilities. Tom's very informative web site can be found at www.regimechanger.com. Below is an excerpt from his introductory page ...

Welcome Compatriots!

My goal is to provide a window to alternative views regarding the current administration's policy of unilateralism, corporate cronyism and gunboat diplomacy.

There are greater causes currently being neglected at home and around the world. Education suffers with lack of teachers, supplies and space while "smart' bombs are dropped by the thousands at a cost of $2,250,000.00 each! It is truly troubling when profits take precedence over food and healthcare for the needy. Healthcare workers are overwhelmed (and under paid) providing essential hands on care, yet massive drug companies are reaping record profits while enjoying government handouts. Its yet another travesty that in our 'land of plenty' 2003 US census records reported that 3.8 million families went hungry missing meals because they "couldn't afford to eat".

For the poor soldier or sailor who entered the military to finance his or her college education, he now finds him or herself bogged down in a Vietnam like quagmire - with no visible end in sight. This is even more frustrating with the "stop-loss" put in effect by the Department of Defense. "Stop-loss" is the military's way of keeping service members on active duty well past their required terms of service. It's time for the military to end the root cause of losing soldiers -- This ill conceived war for oil and imperialistic greed!

To paraphrase Michael Moore 'war cannot be declared on a noun' - such as the Bush regime has done with terror. Like the overwhelming majority of people in this country, I would not hesitate to pick up a weapon and defend the USA from armed aggressors (and have demonstrated my commitment through13+ years of honorable service with the US Army). But to paint a nebulous threat and declare war without end??? Not in my name!!

"The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush, it will be slow extinction from apathy, indifference and undernourishment" Robert Hutchins

It's time to heed the call my friends - we are at war, and we need a regime change! Inside you will find many links including a page on activism. Get involved! Make a difference! Vote! Write a letter! Organize! Speak out! Be heard! Be seen! You are not alone! Become a weapon of mass dissent!!!!

In peace and solidarity,
