The Khmer, like the Nazis, kept detailed records on each person who went through S-21. Photographs of each prisoner were hung through out the various rooms. When walking through S-21 your eyes literally swell up instantly. It's like no feeling I can explain to anyone who hasn't been there. I had the hardest time taking this pic and I wasn't sure if I should take it or not. I really wanted to put a face to the previous pictures I took. Going to the killing fields and S-21 had a profound impact on how I think and look at how inhumanely people can treat each other. When you walk down the streets in Phnom Penh or Siem Riep, you cannot even blink without seeing someone affected by Pol Pot and the tramua he induced to the regular Cambodian people.
