Ramesseum Luxor West Bank

In this modern shot of the wreck you can see the repair details, especially where the vertical wall was struck in antiquity by the toppling statue. Up close it is difficult to see where the head was hacked out by Belzoni as the pieces are orientated to where they fell and not in relation to their position in the sculpture.
Note the fore court is in need of more work and the foreground stone work block is still where it fell.
