Queen Mary as WW2 Troopship p s.jpg
Sydney Harbour
This and the next pic were taken from somewhere near Mosman. The Queen Mary had been refitted with extra decks as a troopship and the Queen Elizabeth was completed in that configuration, having not been completed as a liner when hostilities commenced in 1939.
The photographer was Rob's father as he (Rob) was still wrestling with a bakelite VP Twin with 127 film size. Altho he recalls the Queens in the harbour from ferries he does not recall these shore shots.
