Caroline and Pamela both have strong family ties and great affection for things Dutch and they both take off for trips to Nederland whenever they can.
You will be gently corrected if you call the place Holland. Yes, two of the twelve provinces are North Holland and South Holland, but the whole place has a very unglamorous name that means Low Countries - Nederland, or if you must the Netherlands. (If you want to be very formal it can be called Koninkrijk der Nederlanden)
It is often said "God made heaven and earth but the Dutch made the Netherlands". Over the past 800 years over 3,000 sq km has been reclaimed from the sea. Almost half the country is below sea level and the Dutch have become, out of necessity, very good at keeping the water out.
The Dutch talk about "making" a photo rather than "taking" it.
