NGC 300

Reprocessed in 2022

NGC 300 is a bright, nearly face on galaxy about 7 million light years away that is a member of the Sculptor group (the nearest group of galaxies to the "local group" that contains our own galaxy - the Milky Way). The Sculptor group also contains several other well known spiral galaxies including NGC 253, NGC 247, NGC 55, and NGC 7793. It also contains some 20 dwarf galaxies.
