Vietri Sul Mare, Italy

Vietri Sul Mare is known for ceramics and this was taken in the *Solimene Ceramics Factory*. We already have some of the blue chicken design (as in the mug on the right of the top shelf) so we bought a couple more pieces in the same pattern but different colours. Couldn't buy too much as it weighs a ton and I had to carry it.

Terry caught what i could not... i think it is the contrast that makes the shot. i was about to say that it was the colors, and perhaps it is some one of that too. but lighting is generally what really drives an image home, and in this case, it's contrasty with nice shadow areas.

i really don't have an eye for these kinds of shots, and it does amaze me when people are able to "see" it. well done.

like this sort of shot - contrasty look works wonderfully with the highlights to give it real punch.
