Old Barn

I shot this scene with both the FZ30 and my Olympus E510. Both cameras white balance was set to Cloudy. The FZ30 did not do as well as the E510. Both versions have different qualities from their brightness levels...one more somber, one brighter and more 'cheerful'. I sort of prefer this one also, but not necessarily for any technical reason. It does look, from the original version, like it was overexposed, which is unusual for snowy shots with a minus exposure bias...maybe the barn and silo were dark enough to fool the meter.

I had to do quite a bit of editing in order to salvage this picture. The sky was completely blow out. I added the background. I will post the unedited version in the Hmm gallery. The picture taken with the E510 is spot on.

Very nice Sandy. I actually like this one , by the FZ30, better. (of course I'm prejudice !!) Whether they are true or not ...... I like the colors on this one.
