These pictures show my FZ10 as I normally configure it for regular use. As you can see, I have added a rubber eye cup to the viewfinder, it is sold by Orion Telescope company for under $5, I modified it by building it up with a circle of cardboard cut from the core out of a roll of medical tape and some black foam to fill in the gaps. It is attached with some double sided tape.
You can also see that I use the standard lens hood with a 72mm UV filter. I have found and added a metal lens shade to keep it from flaring. This shade is wide enough that it does not vignette at all.
