Inspired by photos of bee boxes and hotels from all over the world, we built this one in a sunny spot south of the Old Woodlot. Starting in August 2013, we stacked building pallets, using bricks as spacers, then set about finding natural materials to make "rooms" for various potential insect residents. In this early photo, you can see a number of plant stems on the left side of one "floor."
