I worked for Mr. Hielscher in the early 70's at Green Valley. I started at the tech check in and eventually started announcing when the regular track announcer, Eddie, had a heart attack. He came back 4 months later in time for the WinterNationals. Mr. Hielscher rewarded my stepping in as announcer by letting me announce the Prelims. of The Nationals that year. It was an awesome experience for a high school kid from North Richland Hills. M. Skipper
