Because of a highway detour, it took us an hour to drive through local streets to Dragon Dynasty, but it was well worth it

Our friend Jose was absolutely right -- the dim sum here was very fresh and in contemporary Hong Kong style. We stuffed ourselves with a large assortment of outstanding dim sum, including oxtail stew, fish jook with thousand year old egg, beef stomach, meen fah guy (steamed chicken and fish bladder), siu mai, steamed (not pan-fried) turnip cake, hom suey gohk, and some wonderful desserts. In the picture above, I'm holding a plate of melt-in-your-mouth bowties. We also had delicious yuen wat mah sah tee (sticky balls with sesame cream, which were boiled, then rolled in sugar and peanuts), and suey jing yuen wat sai mai goh (crystal-clear, soft and smooth tapioca pudding).

One of our dim sum cart waitresses seemed to take a liking to us. As we left, she pressed into my son-in-law's hand a scrap of paper with the name and telephone number of her own favorite inexpensive restaurant. An unsolicited heads-up ... this was no doubt going to be GOOD! Please see the next picture ...
