My son-in-law enjoying dinner at Moosilauke Restaurant in Kent, Connecticut 3/2/04

This new restaurant in Connecticut was enthusiastically recommended to my daughter and son-in-law by locals. It is charmingly rustic and old-looking even though it is only a few months old. Based on the unusual name, they speculated that the food might be Scandinavian ... in fact, the cuisine was more Asian-fusion and eclectic. The fried oysters that were so good, they were compelled to order another plate of it. And who would ever expect to find the perfect Thai spring roll in the middle of the New England countryside? They sent their compliments to the chef, who had been taught the recipe by a Thai lady.

P.S.: It turns out that Moosilauke was named after a beloved mountain in New Hampshire, with ties to Dartmouth College.
