Ron is with Sweetwater Travel, which is owned by the 3 Vermillion brothers: Dan, Pat and Jeff. A few years ago, they guided my daughter and son-in-law in Mongolia for taimen (a huge salmonid) and lenok (a type of trout). These exotic sportfish are found only in Mongolia and Russia. They practiced catch-and-release with each fish they caught.

It was a unique experience for them to stay in a portable housing structure called a "ger" and eat local Mongolian food, which took a little getting used to. But they made sure they tried everything. Their camp was 2 hours away by military helicopter from Ulaan-Bator, the capital of Mongolia. It was a veeeery long way from home in downtown Manhattan, but they knew they were in good hands with the great guides from Sweetwater Travel.
