My daughter outside her maternal grandfather's laundry (the Tom King Laundry) on 28th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan

My daughter was very smart and well-behaved when she was a little kid. All her teachers loved her. She also excelled in violin and art, having been displayed at Lever House twice during city-wide competitions and winning a scholarship to the Pratt Institute Children's Saturday Art Program.

She doesn't play violin or paint anymore, but she taught herself to play piano as an adult.
