Freestyle: Part 2...with video

I was going to set up the portrait studio when we got home from the talent show, and get a shot of Ian in his dancing gear. A lot of the kids were posing on stage for their parents after the show, so I thought that might actually be a better idea.

I snapped a couple of frames. Good thing too, as the first one was waaaay out of focus. Might be time to upgrade camera bodies. One thing I can't tolerate is focus errors. Burns my ass every time. Anyways, this isn't about my camera, it's about Ian.

It took me a while to figure this whole movie capture stuff out. My parents bought us this camcorder for a shower gift when Margaret was pregnant with Ian, so it's fitting that the first youtube video I made was of Ian. It's a Hi8 tape recorder, BUT, it has USB outputs so that if I ever wanted to upload them to the computer, I could. Little did I know that the whole digital camera thing would take off for me, so while the camcorder has taken lots of video, we haven't done much with them. Now that I have it figured out, I'll probably be digitizing more of them.

So, without further babble from me, here's Ian...
