Wow!That is an amazing natural wonder.It almost looks as if the trees slid down to a more hospitable soil!

This looks like my kind of place,nice image Mike,I have been browsing through your galleries and you have some nice images.good see that you liked the lavender fields,I went back the following week, and they had cut it to make perfume.yep we do have sunshine in the UK. 2.75 Days per year :~).and the clouds ........well they are formed by us brits boiling kettles to make tea of course.......Catch ya later

The geologic name for this formation is a pluton, also named after the god of the underworld, Pluto. I prefer the name Stone Mountain, especially when I am standing on the side of it.
