After a busy few days we took a well deserved break to stop and smell the roses. My family and I took a leisurely stroll through the Portland Rose Gardens. Portland is said to have 200 miles of rose-bordered streets. It's no wonder that the city is often referred to as "The City of Roses."

The international Rose Test Garden in Portland, Oregon is one of the most famous rose gardens in the entire world. Each year, the gardens are visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors. The view of downtown Portland from the gardens is absolutely spectacular. This is a very popular tourist site that boasts more than 8,000 roses. It is definitely one of Portland's most familiar and treasured landmarks!
