I had always wished to visit Hungary, one of the few European countries I had not yet visited.
When Endre Novak kindly invited me to his homeland I was really enthusiastic!
Believe me, it was worthwhile!

Hungary has been a heart-stealer for me; it has all the luxury of Western Europe with a Magyar flavour.
Its graceful capital, Budapest, has a lively arts, cafe, and music scene, and is host to a range of cultural and sporting festivals.

In the countryside I could find majestic plains, resort-lined lakes, Baroque towns, horse markets and rustic villages.

But what has warmed up my bear heart in a special way has been the friendly and special hospitality I have received from Endre and his family.
In my opinion Hungarians have only one big fault...
They speak the most hermetic language I have ever tried to master during all my trips!
Luckily Endre is fluent in English and he explained me all what was necessary to know.

By the way, Endre is a fantastic photographer, as you can see from the photos of me he has taken,
so I suggest you to visit his pages here on PBase and also his personal website, both are worth “the virtual trip”, as Hungary is worth a real trip!

Frimpong.....You have really enjoyed your visit to the wonderful city of Budapest. There is so much to see there. If you return you must try to include a visit to the baths. I know that you would like it. Keep on traveling and keep those great photos coming.

Beautiful images, Endre. I truly believe that Hungary must be the cleanest country in the world! I never had an urge to visit Hungary, but you have made it look like a place in which I'd like to spend some time! I hesitate to admit that I know little of Hungarian history except for the fact that my father was born in Hungary (or whatever name it had in 1911.) Isabel

Unfortunately, I have never visited Hungary. We are lucky to discover more of the Hungarian beauties and learn some of their history through the adventure of Frimpong and Endre. What a great company !
