_MG_9194-Stepstone-Crossing II

Sedona, AZ

This was taken today while shooting with Derek von Breisen. This about two weeks after http://www.pbase.com/fredparsons/image/74410923

Another great sky but not quite as colorful as the first shot. Decided to post a vertical this time.
I like both images - but solicit your opinions in this regard.

Canon EOS Rebel Ti ,Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
GND filter and polarizer turned part way full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

The composition of this shot is close to perfect. Posting it vertical adds depth and or range to the scene. very nicely done Fred. V! Sherwood.

Very nice, great shot!

This is the sort of capture that immediately appeals to me - it has everything I like in a landscape: A (curved) line leading the eye into the picture, depth, light, vivid colours and a sky with just the right amount of clouds. Beautiful!

Both are equally awesome and have their own merits.
What is clear is that you are THE master of wide angle landscapes !
Beautiful focus and clarity throughout.
I'd frame and hang one of them anyway :o)

Breathtaking view, splendid photo. V.

Fred the first one is better, not that this one is not great however. The first one has a better color range, and when possible I alway prefer a horizontal shot to a vertical one.
How lucky you are to shoot out with Derek, he is a great photographer.
I would like to do that some day.

I love them both. The curve of the shore is more evident in this one and in the other I love the expanse of water and sky. Vote for this one.

they are both great pictures !
with great colors and great framing...
You found the perfect spot.

this appears to be sharper than the other one (from this resolution). must have nailed the hyperfocal distance.
also quite appealing from all the 'leading lines',
