Cathedral Rock Reflection

Cathedral Rock in Sedona, AZ as viewed from this perspective with Oak Creek in the foregound, is one of the most photographed spots in the world. There is a just a moment, or some times a few minutes, just before the sun sets below the horizon, when the rocks take on an extrodinary red glow. Most of the time there are no clouds in the sky at the time, and when there are, they often cover the sunset.

Thanks - guess I will have to read up again to remember what complementary colors are. At my age I forget most of that stuff ;-)

This is one of my favorites in this gallery. Great use of complementary colors.

This really is a spiritual location. It's no mystery to me why the "new agers" are drawn to this area.
cheers!
