"Goodbye God - I'm Going to Bodie!"

Bodie, CA

Located 50 miles south of Lake Tahoe, in California, near Bridgeport and Highway
395 near the Nevada border.(Bodie State Historic Park).Bodie was named after
Waterman S. Body (also known as William S. Bodey) who discovered gold here in 1859.
The change in spelling of the town's name has often been attributed to an illiterate
sign painter, but was a deliberate change by the citizenry to insure proper pronunciation.

Original 5 color images combined to pano. Each ASA 100, f22, 1/20 sec, 22mm. Converted color to B&W then sepia. Temp 28 degrees. full exif

The almost black & white of the image really conveys the feelings and atmosphere of this place. I was there many years ago..
