Another shot from my morning sunrise at the Tomnaverie Standing Stones on the outskirts of the Cairngorms National Park.

As the sunrise developed the clouds started to pick up some fantastic red/purple colour tones. I decided to move backward from the huge recumbent stones to get more of the firey sky into my shot and tried to capture the full Stone circle footprint in the foreground with smaller concentric inner stone circles.

I have to say that I really struggled with composition in this location as there is just so much going on with so many standing stones and a reather inconventient fence on the other side of the stones, so definetly a place I would like to return too to get that perfect shot!!
