Do they tell you before you start a PAD that it will not only take time, but also money? No. LOL. I was having a coffee and reading a magazine and saw a photo of a feather on a textured background. So, I went to the next craftstore, and bought paper (you actually see the back of it here) and feathers. Glad to say when I do these things my photos usually turn out differently than the inspiration, so I'm not totally copying other people's ideas.

Post-processing involved transformation (skew) to get the image square (since the camera was at an angle to the photo), levels, curves, desat and toning.

I love this! So simple and pretty. I like the bg you used (recycle paper??) in combination with the feathers. I like the desaturation. This would made an awesome greeting card just as it is. I really like the square crop.

I like how the paper looks coarse in texture and the feathers so soft. Nice contrast texture wise.

Love the textured paper, composition with the feathers is excellent. What a fun project!

Excellent :) The textured paper really adds something that a plain white background wouldn't give :)

Worth the effort though Franziska - very nice shot, looks a bit like the Prince of Wales's crest!
