Cicadas

They emerge only every 17 years. They started coming out a couple of days ago. Several of our trees are covered in cicadas. They haven't started making a huge noise yet, but I've got the feeling that's not far away ...


Some of these shots are not the greatest from a photographic point of view but I wanted to upload them anyhow to show how many cicadas there are :)
