Chopin Hall
Findlay, OHIO
Our mission is to establish and operate a facility that provides assistance to the needy citizens of Hancock County. Assistance will be provided free of charge to clients in basic areas such as food, clothing, domestic and personal items. Chopin Hall is a non-profit organization that services clients regardless of race or religion.
How We Became Chopin Hall
In April of 1984, twelve Hancock County churches decided to pool their resources together and establish one outreach facility, staffed with volunteer help that would assist the needy with food, clothing and other emergencies
Chopin Hall has come a long way since then. Our member churches now number forty-two. We have a Board of Directors with church representatives making up its governing board. Our clients are not just drop-ins anymore. They are referred to us by churches and social service agencies. Enough food is provided to feed a family for three or four days. Clothing is available as well as blankets, sheets, towels, kitchen items and other household goods when available. In August we provide children with donated school supplies.
