Many don't know this, but San Diego based Magee was an early friend and regular "play together" colleague of Jimmy James. Yeah, Jimmy James, THAT Jimmy James! Oh, sorry, perhaps you know him as Jimi Hendrix! They frequently played together until Jimmy...er, Jimi, moved to England.
