Queens, New York

We just got back from taking a friend to JFK, New York. She is flying to Ireland. We got stuck in a traffic jam on the way back and it took us about 1.5 hours to go the last 3 miles to the exit from the Whitestone Bridge. Our mileage at that point dropped from around 45 MPG (American) to about 39. At least I got a picture. :)

I've been in so many traffic jams. Something so common in Buenos Aires!! Well captured Frank!

Bad traffic can always be expected around here too. Your pic tells the "traffic nightmare" story very well!

Wow, looks like you were at a dead stop here. I hate raffic. That's why I want to move to East Texas where there isn't any! Cool shot though. I know I've been there many, many times.

Not much of a view! Keep on moving.

My husband and I made a trip to JFK only once when we lived in N.J.. Never again! The traffic was horrendous and I was a nervous wreck! You obviously know where you are going and have nerves of steel to get such a great shot in all that traffic.

Ah, it's never fun to get stuck in traffic but it's worse when you get stuck behind a truck! It kind of looks like you are in the cockpit of a fighter aircraft with that neat display. This is a great shot.

I like the way you look at the bright side. Cool display.

I like living out of town...your friend was halfway across the big pond in the same time :)

I hate traffic jams, but sometimes they seem inevitable.

it was good you were standing still, while taking this picture.
driving a car is all about how to survive traffic jams!
a great capture Frank!

Awful getting held up in traffic, but you got a good shot Frank!
Doug Cruden06-Sep-2010 05:26
I HATE when that happens...I've never been brave enough to capture the moment, I'd be too depressed seeing how bad the MPG had become :o(( Cool cockpit-cam shot though Frank!
