Stepping Stones and Elephant's Head Flowers

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA

These stones actually formed the trail that led alongside Thunder Lake. Each of the blossoms on these flowers closely resemble an elephant's head complete with trunk. The scientific name is Pedicularis Groenlandica.
