On the way back to the park entrance we came across a wolf pack quite some distance away (about 1/2 mile or 1km). There was an adolescent caring for 5 pups while the full adults were off hunting (or planning their next vacation). We spent about 45 minutes watching from the bus (not allowed to leave the bus). This is the best I could get with the 600mm lens through bus windows, but I feel priveleged to have had this opportunity. It was great watching the wolves in their own environment.
