The background looks like a painting. I love the contrasting cool blues of the background with the warm colors of the golden grasses in the foreground.
I am in full agreement with Kenny. I'd like to see Vern preserve some of the treasures of the area in books. Maybe "The Barns of the Wilamette River Valley", or "Pathways". He has a ton of incredible photos of paths through the forest or parks. There are so many possibilities. And then, I want to attend the seminars the famous photographer Vern Rogers puts on!
The bird is the "people watcher", second "being" from the left among the bird-watchers.
I'm more concerned about who's gonna watch over Vern...Should it be Carol, yer Mom, my wife, my Mom? SOMEONE has to convince you that your images gotta be offered to Hallmark, American Greetings, Audubon, or elsewhere. I'm not talking 'bout this image, but yesterday you had 2 "KNOCKOUTS"...your PAD showing the red-wing blackbird and the pair of flying geese. Those shots should be worth, at least, a nickle each...and, here you are giving them to us............!
THANKS for sharing them, But..."Durn, Vern"...MAKE SOME CONTACTS...SELL THOSE IMAGES...so you can buy some new photo-toys AND give some more money to your church or other favorite worthy.
Your friend and enthusiastic (but, well intentioned "nag"), Kenny Eilers
