Looking at both versions I think I prefer this one - the naturally saturated tones and the contrasts between the varying landscapes all work well together. V

Yes, they do, Steve. I did the conversion with Nikon View and did the basic adjustments for RAW files of sharpening, contrast and color.

Hi Vern,

I like the juxtaposition of the craggy mountains with the rolling hills in the foreground. The sandwiching white bands of clouds oddly enough seem to unify the horizontal elements. This is really a monochrome image and would probably be very effective in classic B&W, which is how Adams would have printed it.
