The type of hawk I most frequently see in our area is the Red-shouldered Hawk. They are often seen sitting on wires along the roads. This one was just north of our driveway. It was posed so nicely against a blue sky that I just had to get a photo. I am trying to keep my mind off of an abscessed tooth, posting a photo helps get my mind off the pain. Will finally get in to dentist tomorrow.
