I heard this beautiful bird before I could locate it at Delta Ponds. It was singing a lovely song. It took me a minute or more to find the bird in a nearby tree.

An interesting fact about the Bewick's Wren: "The first scientific specimen, collected in Louisiana in 1821, was identified by John James Audubon and named for his friend Thomas Bewick, a talented British wood engraver who wrote and illustrated 'History of British Birds.'"
